Paris-Londres

As a new thing for maison de chanel, Chanel has introduced this sort of mid-collection, collection.

Karl Lagerfeld has done this with collections like Paris-Londres where he takes inspiration from a city, or place and its culture, and uses it for his designs, for example, in the Paris-Londres collection he took inspiration from Amy Whinehouse, the girl of the moment in London for his make-up (the eyeliner!) and the hair (bee-hive!)

He also used bowlers hats, and things associated with the more 'British' side of London. As part of a collection, there was a pop up shop (temporary boutique, that only stays there for a few months/weeks) in Dover street market. and one of the most popular items there were the union-jack range of accesories.

So by drawing inspiration from London's culture, and even it's flag, Chanel completed there Paris-Londres collection, and the inspiration is plain to see in the finished runway.
